Myomectomy (Fibroid) Removal

Myomectomy (Fibroid) Removal is available through Mark Cuban Companies Health Plan at a published cash price, paid when you book.

Myomectomy, also known as fibroid removal, is a surgical procedure performed to remove uterine fibroids while preserving the uterus. Uterine fibroids are noncancerous growths that develop in or around the uterus and can cause symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, and pressure on the bladder or bowel. During a myomectomy, the surgeon makes an incision in the abdomen (abdominal myomectomy) or inserts instruments through the vagina and cervix (hysteroscopic or laparoscopic myomectomy) to access the uterus. The fibroids are then carefully excised from the uterine wall, and the incisions are closed. Myomectomy is often recommended for women who wish to retain their fertility or preserve their uterus. It can alleviate symptoms caused by fibroids and improve quality of life without the need for a hysterectomy, which involves complete removal of the uterus.
