Conization of Cervix - Loop Electrode Excision Procedure (LEEP) is available through Mark Cuban Companies Health Plan at a published cash price, paid when you book.

Conization of the cervix, also known as a Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP), is a surgical procedure used to remove a cone-shaped piece of tissue from the cervix. This procedure is typically performed to diagnose or treat abnormal cervical cells, often detected through Pap smear or colposcopy, which may indicate precancerous or cancerous changes. During the procedure, a thin wire loop electrode is used to excise the abnormal tissue under local anesthesia. The loop electrode emits an electrical current that cuts and cauterizes the tissue, minimizing bleeding and reducing the risk of complications. The excised tissue is then sent to a laboratory for further examination to determine the presence of any abnormal cells. LEEP is an effective and minimally invasive procedure that can help prevent the progression of cervical abnormalities to cervical cancer when performed as part of routine screening and follow-up care.
