Endometrial Ablation

Endometrial Ablation is available through Mishe Health Plan at a published cash price, paid when you book.

Endometrial ablation is a medical procedure used to treat abnormal uterine bleeding by removing or destroying the lining of the uterus (endometrium). It is typically performed in women who experience heavy or prolonged menstrual periods that have not responded to other treatments such as medications or hormonal therapies. During the procedure, the endometrial lining is either removed or destroyed using various techniques, such as heat (thermal ablation), freezing (cryoablation), or radiofrequency energy. Endometrial ablation is usually performed on an outpatient basis and does not require a surgical incision. Recovery time is relatively quick, with most women able to resume normal activities within a few days. Endometrial ablation is not a form of contraception and is not recommended for women who wish to become pregnant in the future, as it can affect fertility. It is also not suitable for women with certain uterine conditions such as uterine cancer or large uterine fibroids.
