Single Mastectomy
Single Mastectomy is available through Mishe Health Plan at a published cash price, paid when you book.
A single mastectomy is a surgical procedure in which one breast is removed, usually to treat or prevent breast cancer. This procedure may be recommended for individuals with a diagnosis of breast cancer in one breast, those with a high risk of developing breast cancer due to genetic factors, or patients with large or multiple tumors that cannot be effectively treated with breast-conserving surgery. The surgery involves removing the entire breast tissue, including the nipple, areola, and often some of the surrounding lymph nodes to check for cancer spread. Recovery involves managing pain, caring for the surgical site, and may include additional treatments such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy, depending on the individual case.
