Interstim Removal

Interstim Removal is available through Mark Cuban Companies Health Plan at a published cash price, paid when you book.

InterStim removal, also known as sacral neuromodulation device removal, is a surgical procedure performed to remove a previously implanted InterStim device used to treat urinary or fecal incontinence or overactive bladder. During the procedure, the surgeon makes an incision near the location of the implanted device, usually in the upper buttock area. The leads and generator are carefully disconnected and removed from the body. Once the device is removed, the incision is closed with sutures or staples, and a sterile dressing is applied. InterStim removal is typically performed under local or general anesthesia on an outpatient basis, allowing patients to return home the same day. Recovery from InterStim removal is generally quick, with most individuals able to resume normal activities within a few days.
